This evening I worked on preparation for the assembly of the left elevator. All of the rivet holes on the skin needed to be deburred and dimpled. Here’s me using the pneumatic squeezer to dimple the rivet holes around the edges of the elevator skin:

I also needed to expand the holes on the leading edge to #30 (1/8″) to accomodate the 1/8″ blind rivets that hold the curved leading edges together. Here are some pictures from this session, mostly of the assembled elevator held together by clecos.






I’m in awe, Ted … Seems like you would qualify for your A&P license by the time you’re finished.
